And while it’s true that many of us are now adept with the software, it’s likely that others still use only the bits that suit them best. While we may get through the working day in one piece without some functionalities and etiquette, we could probably work better with the full toolset to hand. And why not? There’s still a long way to go before we’re all back in the office.

Combined, we have over 50 years experience, gained on a variety of projects throughout the world. But no two engineering projects are alike.

Sometimes we manage a project from the very start and continue to be involved until the end reports. Other times we are brought in to provide specialist services in specific areas. Each brings different challenges. Each has different outcomes.

QEM Solutions were primarily contracted to supply Project Start-up Consultancy, including production of Method Statement and Risk Assessments for Spiecapag UK Ltd on the Stublach Gas Storage Project. QEM Solutions furthered their involvement in the project and provided general QA/QC & Engineering support to project.

Benefits of engaging QEM Solutions included;

  • Provided documentation required for start-up produced in line with project requirements.
  • Filled gaps in resources when required.
  • Were able to pick up new skills and responsibilities quickly and execute as required.

Main Responsibilities included;

  • Production of Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Management of submission and approval process.
  • Initial document control set up and management.
  • Review of conceptual design.
  • Management of Sub-Contractors, including Designers, Surveyors, CP Engineer.
  • Desk based Engineering, inc. production of Schedules, MTO’s, etc.
  • Management of Technical Queries / Concession Requests.
  • Chasing Main Works Contractor for requested information / design change approvals.
