Mineral Blue is an iSSoW system - an integrated Safe System of Work – although we simply call it a Safe Work system.
The keynote of Mineral Blue is simplicity. Our brief, when developing Mineral Blue, was to streamline safety processes using the Internet and mobile devices.
By reducing administration time, we empower managers to provide a safer workplace. Thus we increase primary safety by streamlining secondary safety.
Because it is cloud-based, Mineral Blue is easy to own. You can be up and running, using our permits, in just a few hours. If you want to use your own permits, then we can extend the system to include them, to provide a semi-bespoke or completely bespoke solution.
Mineral Blue deploys permits, risk assessments and other documents instantly to mobile devices. In Mineral Blue, permits are fully electronic by default. Permit forms are interactive, meaning supervisors can control tasks, and workers can sign on and off using their mobile devices.
That means permit queues are a thing of the past. The permit queue ends here.
The cost of permit queues mustn’t be underestimated. On our UK pilot project, our systems delivered £5m savings for £150k expenditure, from a total project spend of £120m. We recently surveyed oil & gas and mining project managers and found estimates ranging from 1% to 10% project costs lost to permit-related downtime.
