Quality Control and Verification

As clients and contractors we are obliged to vet and monitor our suppliers to ensure that their equipment or goods have been manufactured in accordance with the relevant specifications. It's a key part of project quality control. It can stop valuable delays later down the line, reduce pipeline repair costs and ensure that all the right paperwork is in place from the very start. 

Here at QEM Solutions we work to any number of criteria set by the client, other relevant international specifications or quality system requirements as specified by the designers. We leave no stone unturned - so to speak.

Our inspections and audits are always carried out by suitably qualified and competent team members. With years of experience in assisting both on and off site for periodic inspections and internal audits. And we are key to making sure that all objective evidence sought is independent of either supplier or client.

Our inspectors have over 20 years' experience within the industry and are responsible for:

  • The review of material certification and vendor QA/QC documentation (including QA/QC plans, inspection & test plans, weld procedure specifications and procedure qualifications.
  • Site visits, including the witnessing of: 
  • Coating trials 
  • NDT qualifications tests 
  • Material mechanical tests 
  • Factory acceptance tests 
  • Hydrostatic and performance tests 
  • Supplier / vendor business management audits 
  • Independent internal audits to for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 
  • Identification and review of procurement schedules 
  • Establishment of QITP's ( Quality & Inspection Test Plans)
