Combined, we have over 50 years experience, gained on a variety of projects throughout the world. But no two engineering projects are alike.

Sometimes we manage a project from the very start and continue to be involved until the end reports. Other times we are brought in to provide specialist services in specific areas. Each brings different challenges. Each has different outcomes.

Murphy Pipelines - Easington to Ganstead Pipeline Document Control

The Easington to Ganstead pipeline was 1,220mm (48") in diameter and was approximately 32km , from Easington on the east coast Humber to Ganstead in East Yorkshire. This pipeline was one of four which were linked to carry gas from a new import terminal at Easington, north of the Humber, across to the North West.

QEM Solutions provided resources to Murphy Pipelines during the construction stage of this project.

Benefits of engaging QEM Solutions:

  • All documentation was fully controlled in line with clients procedures and thus allowing an efficient flow of communication and project documents between the departments / client & Sub-Contractors.
  • Safer working practices by ensuring important information is channelled to who needs it when and where necessary.

Main responsibilities included:

  • Establishment and implementation of Document Control system. 
  • Collation of all documentation required for handover & commissioning packages. 
  • Control of all Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental management documentation.
  • Document distribution, retention and collection where appropriate. 
  • Ensuring all superseded documents are retrieved or destroyed. 
  • Correlation, indexing, preparation and review of the project Quality records. 
  • Liaison with Construction team to ensure access to all necessary documents at latest revision. 
  • Liaison with other project personnel to ensure all required documentation is submitted on time, is legible, properly identified and status is indicated.
