QEM Solutions were asked to assist Northern Gas Networks with the Hydrogen Innovation Project.
NGN are engaged in an ambitious project with Leeds City Council called H21 to explore the feasibility of powering the city of Leeds with hydrogen.
Burning hydrogen produces water and heat, and nothing else – making it a truly sustainable energy source.
Initial research has shown that the current gas network in Leeds is large enough to convert to hydrogen. Additional funding is now being sought to compile more detailed technical evidence to underpin the project.
QEM Solutions are providing technical and management services that include:
-
Prepare the NIA application
-
Develop and manage project engineering aspects of the NGN projects from concept to commissioning for the innovation project.
-
