Training

Practical and relevant training that shares the hands-on skills of expert industry leaders.

We help people working in the energy and utilities sectors to develop the skills needed to work in these fast-paced and challenging fields. By seeking out the most experienced and innovative industry leaders to train the next generation, we are actively sharing a broad spectrum of invaluable, cross-sector expertise for today, and for the future.

Our training is built around, and responds to, changing sector skills needs. It delivers the learning that deepens the competency and compliance portfolio of sector professionals. We use industry subject matter experts to deliver our training, not generic training professionals. Recognised sector bodies such as the Institute of Gas Engineers and Managers (IGEM) entrust their training programme delivery to us.

Helping to prepare the workforce for the exacting and high-profile nature of gas and utilities sectors our training is affordable, immediately applicable in the workplace, and can be tailored to almost any sector requirements. There is opportunity to spend more time with the subject matter expert to delve deeper if required in both workshops and consultancy.

IGEM training

New gas infrastructure must consistently meet the evolving requirements of UK legislation, and existing infrastructure be correctly maintained. The courses we deliver for the Institute of Gas Engineers and Managers intend to create a workforce that can address both these challenges, by preparing attendees for the exacting nature of working in the energy sector.

Regular training courses delivered for IGEM include:

  • IGEM/TD/1
  • IGEM TD/2
  • IGEM/TD/3
  • IGEM/G/5 – Gas in Multi-Occupancy Buildings
  • Material and Equipment Certificates Awareness
  • IGEM/TD/13 – Pressure regulating installations for Natural Gas, Liquified Petroleum Gas and Liquified Petroleum Gas/Air
Probably one of the best IGEM training courses I have been on.

Technical awareness training

The practical skills required in the energy, utilities and process industries are constantly updated as their technologies and regulatory requirements evolve. We aim to deliver contemporary training in skills topics such as welding, corrosion, coating protection, non-destructive testing and more – supporting sector workforces to embrace change with confident, expert, and compliant practice.

Practical applications of theory allowed for greater understanding.
