Combined, we have over 50 years experience, gained on a variety of projects throughout the world. But no two engineering projects are alike.

Sometimes we manage a project from the very start and continue to be involved until the end reports. Other times we are brought in to provide specialist services in specific areas. Each brings different challenges. Each has different outcomes.

Spiecapag - Carrington CCGT Pipeline (625) Project Start Up Consultancy

QEM Solutions were again contracted to supply Project start Up Consultancy for Spiecapag UK Ltd on the Carrington CCGT Pipeline Project. The project is not your usual pipeline project, with approximately half of the distance being a Horizontal Directional drill.

In addition to this, there will be considerable issues to manage when it comes to construction, including; contaminated land, possibility of unknown live services, land owner access requirements, land slip areas, and working adjacent to the Manchester Canal.

QEM ensured that where possible, all pre-deteremined documentation was available where and when it was needed.

Main Responsibilities included;

  • Review of Tender documents and identification of project soft deliverables.
  • Production of Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Production of Management Plans
  • Management of submission and approval process.
  • Initial document control set up and management.
  • Liaison with subcontractors to identify document requirements and approval process.
