Combined, we have over 50 years experience, gained on a variety of projects throughout the world. But no two engineering projects are alike.

Sometimes we manage a project from the very start and continue to be involved until the end reports. Other times we are brought in to provide specialist services in specific areas. Each brings different challenges. Each has different outcomes.

Laing O'Rourke - Asselby to Aberford Pipeline Engineering Management

QEM Solutions were primarily brought in to fast-track the production of method statements and risk assessments for Laing O'Rourke on the 1220mm dia. gas pipeline project.

QEM furthered their involvement in the project and provided general QA/QC & engineering support to a variety of personnel including the crossings Engineer, project engineer and the project management personnel.

  • Enabled other personnel to get on with other responsibilities. 
  • Having correct documentation at the right time. 
  • Experienced in what was required, therefore hit the ground running.

Main Responsibilities included:

  • Production of method statements and risk assessments. 
  • Creation of programme for the production of method statement inline with milestone dates.
  • Management of submission and approval process.
  • Liaison with National Grid. 
  • Assistance with QA/QC duties including; weld & welder procedures & qualification record maintenance & identification of QC requirements of subcontractors 
  • Assistance with project handover documentation (National Grid's BP007G Databooks)
