And while it’s true that many of us are now adept with the software, it’s likely that others still use only the bits that suit them best. While we may get through the working day in one piece without some functionalities and etiquette, we could probably work better with the full toolset to hand. And why not? There’s still a long way to go before we’re all back in the office.

Combined, we have over 50 years experience, gained on a variety of projects throughout the world. But no two engineering projects are alike.

Sometimes we manage a project from the very start and continue to be involved until the end reports. Other times we are brought in to provide specialist services in specific areas. Each brings different challenges. Each has different outcomes.

QEM Solutions provided project services to assist one of the construction managers in any way possible through the busiest time of the project to completion.

Benefits of engaging QEM Solutions:

  • Management of remote site office.
  • Clear communication channels to and from site and the office.
  • Did what was necessary to get the job completed on time, whilst not compromising on quality, health, safety & environmental requirements.

Responsibilities included:

  • Central hub of the satellite base for communication to and from site and to the head office.
  • Carry out general duties as requested by the construction manager.
  • Site visits to liaise with construction personnel, identify detailed progress and communicate to the relevant people. 
  • Adopt quantity surveyor duties to;
    • Keep track of materials, plant & personnel on site.
    • Measuring subcontractor works & report progress.
    • Manage the approval process of timesheets for the satellite office area.
  • Develop & maintain any reports that were required.
