Sometimes we manage a project from the very start and continue to be involved until the end reports. Other times we are brought in to provide specialist services in specific areas. Each brings different challenges. Each has different outcomes.

Spiecapag - PNG LNG Pipeline (586) Engineering Management

Brisbane, Australia & Papau New Guinea
1 Feb 2010 - 1 Dec 2010

Spiecapag were awarded the onshore section of the larger PNG LNG project which connects the offshore pipeline and the LNG facility site, a distance of approximately 300km. QEM Solutions were able to provide the main works contractor with resources to assist the QA/QC & engineering teams.

Benefits of engaging QEM Solutions included:

  • Hitting the ground running with the correct knowledge and experience with no further delay to the project.
  • Providing key skills that were required for the project.
  • Providing clear and concise liaison & communication between the multilingual colleagues and client / contractor.

Primary responsibilities included:

  • Writing technical reports, schedules and calculations, method statements, inspection & test  plans and management procedures.
  • Assisted construction teams on visits to Papa New Guinea to manage initial surveying & clearance crews.
