Bob Boughton
Project Supervisor
Bob became an Associate of QEM in March 2014 having spent the past few years working for both contractor and client on Wales & West Utilities projects. He is currently supervising the construction of Wetheral AGI for NGN.
Bob started his working life in the collieries of South Wales, working his way up from apprentice level to district overman. In 1980 he left mining for the gas industry, and since then has built up a wealth of experience in the supervision and management of pipeline and AGI construction and commissioning.
Bob is a sports fan, confessing that these days he watches more than he plays although he does still enjoy a round of golf now and again. He loves to travel and has always had a keen interest in history, particularly the industrial revolution. One day Bob would like to combine these passions and follow the path that Victorian writer George Borrow took in his 1862 travel journal, Wild Wales.
